Ahhh relaunches as Anihana, bringing fun and colour to its natural New Zealand bath and body ranges

Celebrating the new name and look, Anihana’s founder Sophie Cooper shared the journey of Ahhh to Anihana today at KIND cafe in Morningside with bloggers and media over a beautiful morning tea alive with colourful blooms matching her new packaging.

The fabulous natural New Zealand brand Ahhh! has now rebranded as Anihana, with fun and colourful new packaging that’s sure to catch your eye on the shelf!

I went along to Kind Cafe today for morning tea in a flower-filled room with bouquets as vibrant as the new emoji-style packaging, to hear firsthand from creator Sophie about the origin and journey of her bath and body products.

Anihana is her husband’s Grandmother’s name (Te Reo Māori for Anderson) as well as their daughter’s middle name so it has strong family connections.

MC Janelle Brunton-Rennie interviewed Sophie about the transition from Ahhh! to Anihana and celebrated their successes after just five years. Their biggest seller is the bathbomb and my personal favourite too.

You can buy Anihana at supermarkets, pharmacies and Farmers. Follow them on Instagram at @anihana_life

The former Ahhh brand has made leaps and bounds in the local beauty industry within just a few years, from an online offering to now gracing the shelves of New World and Pak n Save supermarkets and pharmacies across the country, while releasing several new products in various bath, body and
haircare ranges. They’re also certified as a Living Wage employer, certified NZ Made and partners of the Sustainable Business Network. Anihana have also become a gold sponsor of The Mum Clique Charity, an alignment Sophie is very proud of, and this year have started their BCorp Certification
process – a very in-depth and credible certification recognised worldwide and led by B Lab. The certification highlights the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose in business.
The Anihana relaunch will roll out from June 2021 with fresh new playful packaging to match. With their sights firmly set on expanding into Australia by 2022, Anihana have streamlined their range to showcase their best and
top selling beauties in their signature vibrant colours while aiding to induce a sense of relaxation and a moment of bliss.
When asked how she was feeling about the relaunch, Sophie (pictured right) says “At first I was secretly against the rename. It felt like I was renaming my toddler as Ahhh was my baby. But now I feel like a proud Mum and my business is growing up, ready to take on the world”.
