My skincare fave – Ultraceuticals skincare from Australia – is a brand I have used for a couple of years now and love it. Now, Ultraceuticals has released a Vitamin C exfoliator called Ultra Dual Microfoliant for home use and to really give my skin a kick-start in the right direction, I had an A-Zyme treatment at Haven Skin using Ultraceuticals.

From left to right:
Ultra UV Protective Daily Moisturiser SPF30 is a daily essential as we’re coming into spring, and I put this on under makeup. Ultra Dual Microfoliant is a brand new product to use twice a week, to refine and brighten with micro-fine Vitamin C particles to slough off dead skin with the powerful enzyme Bromelain, obtained from the stem of a pineapple plant, and Ultra C Firming Eye Cream is a much-loved product for smoothing the eye area.

The dual-action exfoliator features physical micro-fine pure Vitamin C exfoliating particles, as well as the fruit enzyme Bromelain mentioned above, working together to leave skin looking more refined, smooth and polished. Like all Ultraceuticals skincare products, Ultra Dual Microfoliant is cruelty-free and contains no harsh chemicals, propylene glycol, parabens, synthetic dyes or synthetic fragrances. The ultra Dual Microfoliant retails for $89 for 75ml and is available from salons and clinics; please see their website www.ultraceuticals.com for your nearest stockist.

Ultraceuticals A-Zyme Treatment
I headed into Haven Skin Spa in Takapuna last week for an Ultraceuticals A-Zyme Treatment, to get my skin looking polished after the winter.

The Ultraceuticals A-Zyme treatment is a skin rejuvenation treatment, combining proven anti-aging ingredients Retinol and Bromelain to refresh, refine, hydrate and plump skin. The facial is designed to lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, even out skin tone, and improve luminosity. My Facialist Chloe was amazing and very attentive when I commented I had sensitive skin and kept checking that the actives were not too much for me. She had a helpful 1 to 10 rating system of how sensitive it felt and said we shouldn’t go over a 5. A bit tingling is totally normal, as the active ingredients are working to exfoliate the dead skin cells on the surface of the skin. Afterwards, my skin felt radiant, fresh and clear.
