New in Beauty: June and July 2018

Some gorgeous new releases to cross my path in this latest column of New in Beauty: for June and July 2018. Let’s take a look at what’s new…

The Winter Beauty Box from Serial Box: Full of ways to exfoliate, scrub, and moisturise winter skin, this subscription box contains 5 full size products rather than samples, and retails for $39 at www.serialbox.co.nz and on Instagram at @serialboxme. It includes Trilogy Firming Body Lotion; Rude Renew My Lips Lip exfoliator for smooth lips using sugar to exfoliate; Palmers Coconut Oil Facial Scrub; Devonport Chocolates, and a greeting card by The Paperface (Yay ~they are my friends actually and do amazing graphic design) at www.thepaperface.com; Xpel Body Care Revitalising Coconut Water Foot Pack has a mask to treat feet; and Bare Naturals Citrus Dream body lotion bar with zesty citrus oils to start your day in the shower. I also really liked the plastic free packaging in a cardboard box, perfect for #plasticfreejuly

elizabeth arden bronze vibes

These Gel Pearls are really different; they’re little beads in a clear gel that burst when applied to your skin for a sun kissed glow. I like that the gel includes Hyaluronic Acid to moisturise skin. They’re part of the beautiful new Elizabeth Arden Bronze Vibes colour collection, which also features new shades of the conditioning lipgloss, Liquid Lip, pictured here in Cheeky and Red Door VIP. The Highlighting Powder is something else; a pretty pink compact with cherry blossom illustrations on the lid, revealing four iridescent shades from pink through highlights to bronze to wear individually or blend together. The highlighting powder won’t dry out your skin as it too includes Hyaluronic Acid to moisturise. The Turkish delight was my birthday present yesterday, so of course it gets used in a flatlay! Here are the retail prices for the items shown: Beautiful Color liquid Lip Gloss $41; Dare To Bare Bronzing Gel Pearls $69 limited edition; Fourever Glow Highlighting Powder $72 limited edition. Elizabeth Arden Bronze Vibes colour collection is on counter from 9th July 2018. For stockists and more info see www.elizabetharden.co.nz

At Dry and Tea today for blowdries with beauty media, with OGX haircare. We all had our hair assessed individually and had the perfect shampoo and conditioner assigned to us for a relaxing wash, and then a luscious blowdry at the salon in CityWorks. I had a hydrating wash that smelled gorgeous and felt so soft. Photo thanks Christine Stucki. I’m wearing a vintage coat of my mother’s, silk floral dress by Forever New, scarf by Cybele.

Pretty - and great value- the brand new Wet n Wild limited edition Flights Of Fancy collection inspired by tropical bird of paradise flowers is colourful and bright enough to cheer up dark winter days. Sadly my own bird of paradise plant wasn't in flower but I got this stunning leaf off it and these other blooms from my garden. Wet n Wild is available at Farmers stores and website.
