OUTFIT POST: What I’ve Been Wearing In April 2020

This Outfit Post is a little different, as we are under nationwide lockdown for Covid-19 so I am in isolation in my bubble with my family. Thus, all my outfit posts are at home rather than out at events. I wanted to keep doing outfit posts despite being in lockdown as I enjoy it and otherwise I shall be entirely in trackpants. Plus – Formal Fridays kept me glam once a week.

You can see my outfits on ThreadNZ Instagram and follow at www.instagram.com/threadnz to see what’s new.

OUTFIT POST: What I’ve Been Wearing In April 2020

Turn towards the light so that you grow.

I’m wearing a blazer with a tee-shirt and sneakers, the classic combo for Autumn dressing. My cotton rope print blazer by Trelise Cooper, Just Jeans leopard print shorts, and Converse All Stars trainers.

Today, let’s look at scarves. A simple scarf can really elevate your outfit. Here I wear a large, square scarf two ways; a neck side-tie hanging down, and a head scarf look that is perfect when you can’t get your roots retouched at the hairdresser during isolation!

I like to pick a scarf in colours to complement my outfit, here, blue and white, or you could add a contrasting pop of colour especially with a black outfit and tie it in with a matching lip, bag, or shoe.

In response to Hilary Barry’s call to Formal Friday while working from home, instead of Casual Fridays while at work. I call this look, Avant Garden. #formalfriday

What activities are you enjoying doing in isolation that you’ll keep for afterwards? Are you reading more? For me it’s slowing down and relaxing without all the after school activities and busyness. Plus wearing pyjamas all day. Also, I’ve split the day not into AM and PM, but Coffee Time and Wine Time. Here, I’m wearing a kimono by Cotton On Body with bikini by Alannah Hill and glasses by Ferragamo.

I never said I’m interesting, I said I’m into resting. Snuggly evening, wearing Marimekko dress and cape, drinking lemon, ginger, and honey.

Happy Easter!

Formal Friday, the Easter Edition. I’ve layered two mesh dresses on top of each other, which I bought secondhand.

Embracing Formal Friday. Tulle dress handmade by me, shoes by Kathryn Wilson.

How to wear a scarf as a halter top, by knotting two corners behind your neck, and a belt at your waist.

Just so happy to be holding a handbag again after six weeks haha. Headbands and headscarves are my isolation life hack for regrowth 🙂 The weather really decided it’s Autumn finally, huh?

My Formal Friday tribute to Prince, wearing purple, in the rain.

Friday night at my local, in the garden bar.

In my bubble with the cats. I’m wearing a top by Comme Des Garcons, denim jacket by Zambesi, and skirt by Storm.

See you next month, stay home, stay safe everyone! x
