As I write this, we are still under Level 3 of a nationwide lockdown for Covid-19 and I am staying at home in my bubble with my family; we have had one birthday, Easter, Anzac Day, and Mother’s Day yesterday, all celebrated at home. I may not have anywhere to go to shoot outfit posts, but am enjoying doing them and getting glammed up every now and then and airing the old clothes out of the wardrobe once in a while.
OUTFIT POST: What I’ve Been Wearing In May 2020

In the pink for Mother’s Day, in striped dress by Trelise Cooper and ladder knit long cardigan also Trelise Cooper, with earrings by Lovisa, shoes by Gorman, and lipstick by MAC.

Jumpsuit by Boohoo, shoes by Kathryn Wilson, necklace vintage from Hospice.

Such a beautiful Autumn day. I’m wearing a vintage 80s loose fitting button up shirt with a painterly pattern, and denim thrifted Max shorts over fishnets, with an enamel necklace by Karen Walker and earrings from Lovisa.

Q: What’s black and white and read all over? A: Yes, you guessed it – a newspaper, or a sunburned zebra as the old Dad joke goes – but it’s also me, as I’m relaxing with a good book in a black and white houndstooth set by Femmeluxefinery.co.uk . This two piece features a matching comfy T-shirt top and straight leg jogger trousers in stretch fabric and an elasticated waist.

The easy, timeless style of a knit batwing dress. This tan rib knit dress comes with its own matching tie belt, in a wraparound style, and has long sleeves, perfect for in-between seasons. I teamed this Tan Ribbed Wrap Bat Wing Bodycon Mini Dress with knee-high tan boots and a camel wool beret for a Parisian look for daywear, but it would also look fab with killer heels and a cute clutch purse for a night out.

I’ll be doing a global live wine tasting with Sarah Jessica Parker and Invivo x SJP Sauvignon Blanc. Wine AND an iconic fashion star combine, in their very special colab. I’m wearing a secondhand dress, Trelise Cooper eyewear on table.

I’ve wanted cowboy boots for ages, but they’ve always been the wrong size or too expensive, then I found these Texan snakeskin ones new with tags at an opshop on Saturday when I ventured out to the shops for the first time since lockdown began. My dress, belt, umbrella, and scarf, also all thrifted.

Without rain, we wouldn’t have rainbows ? Wearing mohair hand-knit from an opshop, Dotti boyfriend jeans, Kathryn Wilson leather desert boots.

I’m just cropping my regrowth out of photos now. Vintage floral dress thrifted from St Vincent de Paul.

Have you been down to Chelsea Heritage Park at Chelsea Sugar Works? Great with kids, or for walking a dog and lots of wildlife to spot. So beautiful. There’s also a great cafe, Sugar cafe, attached to the historic sugar factory with a stunning view of Auckland harbour. I’m wearing vintage Japanese corduroy dungarees, Ecco shoes, twentyseven names socks, H&M blouse.

Sunday afternoon. What I wore today: vintage boucle jacket, KENZO sweatshirt, Trelise skirt, Mi Piaci ankle boots.
See you next month. Stay home, stay safe, everyone. x
