It’s that time of year again! Christmas parties are one of the best parts of the festive season, but it can be difficult to decide what to wear for all the events that are coming up. Before you start looking for an outfit, ask yourself:
- Do you want to stand out or fit in?
- Will you feel confident in what you choose to wear?
- What is the dress code? (This is especially important for work Christmas parties)
- Is comfort or look more important?
Once you have decided the answer to these questions, you can start looking for something that will make you feel confident, comfortable and ready to enjoy yourself! Below are some ideas to give you a bit of inspiration.
Blazer Dress
These are a must-have look at the moment. Not only are they perfect for a formal event, but they also look classy and can be dressed up with a number of different accessories. There is a wide range of blazer dresses from plain white to sparkly. A blazer dress would be the perfect look for a work Christmas party and could be paired with a gorgeous pair of strappy heels or ankle boots.
Pleated Midi Skirt
Pleated midi skirts are everywhere at the moment, so you shouldn’t find it hard to get your hands on one. They suit most body types and are an especially good item to wear to a Christmas meal as they won’t enhance your bloated stomach after a three-course meal. They come in a range of colours. This festive season, you could go for something sparkly or metallic. A bodysuit and heeled ankle boots would go perfectly with a pleated midi skirt.
Sparkly Dress
Christmas is the only time of year you can get away with glitter everywhere! Sparkles are a timeless look for Christmas and are perfect for any festive occasion. There are a number of different styles from shift dresses to ‘strappy’ midi dresses, so no matter what, you will be able to find a sparkly dress to complement any body shape. For a more casual look, you could go for a sparkly tunic dress and pair it with tights and ankle boots. If you want to go all out, a cowl neck maxi dress with a pair of elegant, slim heels might be for you.
Accessories
Accessories are important, they can make or break any outfit. Add a glitzy headband to any outfit and it can instantly dress it up. Choose one that is covered in pearls or glistening stones to add a bit of sparkle to any outfit.

Red
