The pickier a guy is to buy for, the greater the delight when the item you choose is well-received. I am blessed with a family of difficult-to-buy for men. So it was with great relief I discovered the accessories website Trendhim, an international brand that sells elite watches, accessories and bags online, based in Denmark. They are an international brand but have a New Zealand e-commerce site at www.trendhim.co.nz with a huge range of desirable bits and bobs almost literally from A – Z. If you thought buying accessories meant ties and socks, think again; they have everything imaginable that you can wear once your clothes are on, including bags, beard care, belts, bow ties, bracelets, braces, clear lens glasses, cufflinks, earrings, gloves, hats, lapel pins, necklaces, neckties, pocket squares, rings, scarves, shaving, sunglasses, tie clips, wallets, and watches. Trendhim has been selling jewellery and accessories for men since 2007, and says, “what a journey it’s been. In all honesty, the early years were purely about survival. But as we’ve grown as men, so has our view of the world and our vision for Trendhim. To us, accessories are not about dressing up for special occasions, nor are they reserved for a specific group of men. It’s not about gimmicks or necessarily looking good. It’s about expressing what makes you your own, and one way to do that is through the smaller things you wear. We want to help every man be his own.”
Here’s what I got from Trendhim – a ring for the hand and a pin for the tie or lapel that are both a little bit different.

The Steel Vincent Ring is a cool and contemporary metal ring with an asymmetric face, with one straight side and one angular. Simple, but a bit different.

The Chrome Wrench Short Tie Clip is ideal for any mechanically-minded person and I liked the vintage look and feel. It is smooth and has a really nice quality with no rough edges that would damage your shirt or tie. Whether you’re a grease-monkey or a home handy-person, this is definitely a cool addition to your outfit and sure to get comments when you have to stray from the garage.
