Meet The Local: boutique interior designer, Stacey Gillies

With a keen eye for aesthetics and a love of furniture, textiles, art & object, Stacey Gillies is a boutique interior designer who works with clients to create aesthetically pleasing interiors for work, life and play. A curator of elegant spaces, Stacey takes a considered approach to spatial decisions and the selection of materials, furniture, lighting, art & object.

Based on the North Shore, she has spent many years applying her creativity to marketing
roles across NZ, Australia and the UK and runs her own personal styling business, Fashion Fairground.

This drive for being surrounded in beautiful materials, colours and objects is why Stacey has journeyed into interior design,
something she has planned to do for several years.  Helping people wade through the many decisions involved in renovating
or building new spaces and providing solutions to a tricky brief is what she loves to do.

Her recent experience includes residential and small commercial projects. Completing a renovation on her own home
alongside her architect husband, has also given Stacey a deep respect for residential design and build, especially working
with existing and problematic structures to create a modern and liveable home.

As a published interiors writer, she has contributed articles to Houzz and provided PR and marketing management for leading architecture practices. She holds a Certificate in Interior Decor (SIT) and is currently studying a Diploma in Interior Design at Unitec.

Stacey is excited about the projects that await and is happy to visit clients for an initial consult. You can find more about her interior design service here www.staceygillies.com or on Instagram here @stacey.a.gillies
