The New Zealand Fashion Week 2019 FASHION WEEKEND SCHEDULE is jam-packed with local brands showcasing their in-season collections open to the public to attend for tickets (from around $40 seated and $85 front row, all with goody bags) showing beautiful clothes which – good news! – you can buy in-stores now.

On Saturday I headed back in to Auckland Town Hall to view the Tuesday Label show, and later for Federation in the big tent in Aotea Square.

A highlight on Saturday at Fashion Weekend was Auckland-based designer Biddy’s label, @tuesdaylabel. Here are some of my favourite looks from her show, including slim checked suits, floral dresses, and cotton belted dresses in hot pink or yellow. Good news- these are all available to buy now at her stockists nationwide. See @tuesdaylabel for where to buy her super-wearable and fashion-focused pieces and join me in being a megafan of TUESDAY.

FEDERATION

The much-loved streetwear brand designed by Jenny Joblin had a packed house in the big tent in Aotea Square for the closing show on Saturday night with a very creative backdrop of musicians playing behind a red screen to the music of Jenny’s teen years that had us all rocking in our seats. Styling with both Valentino-esque heels and Chuck Taylor All Stars showed how you can easily make Federation clothing casual or dress it up.
