Morena, Tamaki Makaurau! Looks like the forecast is for fine times now winter has loosed her icy grip and spring’s sweet embrace holds us. Here are my spring outfits and yes, there’s plenty of florals of course.

You can see my outfits on ThreadNZ Instagram and follow at www.instagram.com/threadnz to see what’s new.

OUTFIT POST: What I’ve Been Wearing In September 2020

The fashion industry is doing everything differently now… Icebreaker is having its new season launch online to fashion media with a QR code to scan and sent us new season gear to wear for the launch… Casual wear is ideal for working from home, after all. Icebreaker is at the forefront of sustainable fashion practices, aiming towards plastic free, and the excellent pun of its Baaa Codes, to trace the sheep farm your merino came from.

Not Little Red Riding Hood, but definitely feeling well-red (sic) in this bright trench over Taylor dress and retro webbing belt.

Finding the light, on a sunny Saturday at the start of spring. Ruffle longsleeve cotton floral dress by Mei Li Chuan Shuo.

Matching my Rockburn estare Stolen Kiss rose with my outfit? Don’t mind if I do. I’m wearing a kimono from Japan as a dress.

Is it still called a school run, if you walk? Wearing long coral floaty dress Haoduoyi ?as it finally felt like spring, and Converse All Stars. Hey now, you’re an all star, get your game on, go play ?

SMART CASUAL Dress up vintage denim with a scarf in your hair, statement chain necklace, and ankle boots in Spring. I’m wearing: retro button up dress by FADS, silk scarf by Liberty of London, boots by Mi Piaci.

Wearing sustainable fashion – boots made from recycled plastic, by Mi Piaci. Fashion brands that are wanting to be sustainable are searching for new ways to use existing materials and recycling plastic has got to be top of the list, as our landfill and oceans fill with unwanted single use plastics. This stretchy fabrication reuses plastics in brand new, stylish shoes. Great idea, by this New Zealand, family-owned brand. My pants are by Cybele, my top and necklace secondhand, leather bag is new season by Mi Piaci.

Wearing the kimono as above but here as an open layer over a kneelength black floral dress. They are so versatile.

At Charlie’s Gelato Matakana; strawberry ice cream from the locally grown strawberries which you can also buy in punnets and jam. This is my children’s Happy Place. I am not allowed to drive past without stopping for ?

How cute is my retro caravan I got on the beachfront.

See you next month!
