After a fairly stressful week to say the least, I was in Dunedin for iD Fashion Week and was SO ready for the relaxation of an Antipodes Aroha Organic Facial, at Erban Spa.

I heartily recommend it for anyone wanting to rejuvenate tired skin and worn out batteries.

Upon arrival at Erban Spa (I’ve discovered businesses all spell their names interestingly in Dunedin, after also meeting ‘Klone‘ hairsalon) I fill out a client form so the facialist can be aware of any special skin needs, and I wait in their relaxation room.

This is where you also recover afterwards for your descent back into the harsh reality of the outside world – a place where people don’t all massage you with beautiful-smelling lotions.

My Facialist, Krishelle, introduces herself and gives me a foot soak and massage which warms the body and helps you to unwind and forget your week. She struck the right balance of small talk without over-talking as some facialists do and destroying your peace and quiet. She was fabulous; and put together a moisturising and exfoliating facial using Antipodes organic skincare (60 minutes $90) which left me feeling completely hydrated as well as relaxed and revived body and soul.

Are you familiar with Antipodes products? They are based around the oil of the avocado, with a variety of natural botanicals. Antipodes have just released their new Juliet Skin-Brightening Gel Cleanser ($39) with kiwifruit, manuka honey & Vinanza Performance Plus, aimed at normal and oily skin conditions. It targets pigmentation and blemishes and is particularly good for Caucasian skins that are sun damaged with uneven skin tone, as well as Asian women.
