With so many concurrent shows, Adrian Hailwood’s excitement backstage stood out with an old Hollywood glamour that breathed into the emotion of the day.
Stalking through the hazy lighting, models were directed into a vintage feel with hairstyles curated by Danny Pato of d+m, Hair Director for the show.
The looks exuded luxury using Joico’s structure range, a perfect accompaniment to the designs that Hailwood had developed.
Reminiscent of The Great Gatsby, models got ready by slipping into outfits shimmering of silvers and deep plums, whilst a more modern take featured jerseys teamed with bold prints and slim fitting jeans.
Danny Pato gave us the hair directions for you to create the Hailwood 1940s glamour hair look at home.
Take a low side part or a part in the middle.
Curl the hair section by section using a Cloud Nine Wand.
Once the hair is cool, brush out using a boar bristle brush.
Secure with a light misting of hair spray.
As guests lined up to be seated, waiting models for COOP wore a heavy under-eye liner that struck an interesting contrast against the bright palette they wore, brightening up the tight space of the makeup area. Below: Makeup by MAC Cosmetics.
The boys got in on the act backstage at Lela Jacobs, pushing Man-Manicures to the trend fore-front though a twist adorned a singular finger drawing on the dark pulsating mood that filtered through to the main show.
Bucking against type Monique of RPD Models proved that there is always fun behind the madness showing off her busy schedule of upcoming shows and looking thoroughly excited.
