Don’t dream it, be it.
We headed along to MAC in Britomart on Tuesday 4th November for the most anti-ci-pated launch of all. Dammit, Janet! I love it: the brand new Rocky Horror Picture Show. The 40th anniversary of the 1975 cult classic tribute to sci-fi and horror films, set to music, was the perfect alliance for MAC cosmetics, the brand known for drama and glam.
What was really cool was the completely fabulous three actors/dancers hired to host the event: Riff Raff, Frank n Furter, and Magenta. They even broke into song for the Time Warp in the store!
There are fabulous reds in Strange Journey, Oblivion, Sin and Frank-N-Furter for lips, and a deep, black Greasepaint Stick which winds up and has a deliciously soft creamy texture that blends out; start light and add more if you need it, as a little greasepaint stick actually goes a long way – it is very black. The packaging is incredible- it has the signature lips and the iconic lettering dripping with blood. The eyeshadow compact has 6 shades named for the show: Oh Rocky!, Crystal, Blackberry, Graphic Style, Heavy Black and Pendulous, and Carbon Black. I especially like the ‘Heavy Black and Pendulous’ shade as it’s a very pretty blue charcoal.
I was lucky enough to have a makeover in the new colours by the lovely and uber talented MAC Artist Danielle, and headed off to AUT Rookie fashion show with glittery black eyeliner, and blood-red lips. Love.
The MAC ROCKY HORROR collection is on counter at selected MAC counters from 10th November. Here are my photos from the launch party in Britomart.

Black eyeliner, and black glitter applied over the top.

Danielle applied Rocky Horror Powder Blush to my cheeks and face.
Touch-a touch-a touch-a feel me. Why don’t you stay for the night?
