Moochi showcased its spring collection ‘A Taste of Spring’ to a room packed with VIPs, customers and media last week in Ostro in Britomart.
I was smiling that all the wait staff gathered in the kitchen to watch the show. The food they made was so divine; healthy yet delicious. I am already planning my second trip to chef Josh Emett’s Britomart-based restaurant.
Moochi has three ranges, so it was perfectly suited to pair each with one of three courses over lunch: the relaxed 6xx7 collection (named after days 6 and 7 i.e. the weekend) with a tuna starter, moochi matched with lamb main course, and COLLECTION matched with espresso martini dessert.
It was a beautiful fluid, feminine range, with softly-structured blazers and loosely-pleated trousers framing rather than boxing in the body. Waists were both loose, as well as belted in with contrasting belts.
I particularly loved their shoes; leather espadrilles, and a wedge heel that wrapped around the ankles with straps. I can imagine it would be ideal for summer parties and even weddings.
Here are some of my favourite looks from the show, which you can see in moochi stores nationwide and online at www.moochi.co.nz
