This week on Thread: Episode 3 is fairly dominated by the Marr Factory week of fashion show held at Stephen Marr’s bar, Golden Dawn, with nightly shows each featuring in-season clothes by New Zealand designers Karen Walker, Zambesi, NOMd, WORKSHOP Helen Cherry, Kate Sylvester, and an up-and-coming designers group show entitled MF Gatecrashers.
Marr Factory tickets are $45 each to the public and include a great goodybag and drinks at the event by Bombay Sapphire and Karma Cola sodas, who’ve cleverly designed clothes by each designer on their logo girl, Gingerella.

NOMd showed their Spring Summer collection at Marr Factory at Golden Dawn in Ponsonby on Monday 18th August to a full house of fashion fans, VIP customers, and media. As well as their signature cool and edgy clothes, a highlight was the plaited hair, and white mask-like face makeup. In the finale, UV lights came on, making their faces glow under the black light like beautiful aliens. Another stunning show by NOM*d. Read more here.
