Company of Strangers AW13

Two words came to mind when I saw the Company of Strangers AW13 collection as a whole: tailored grunge. Oxymoronic, I know.
It was colour blocking with an edge; bright hues of tangerine, purple and fuschia matched with solid blocks of black (and some mesh on the side). The collection’s colour palette was simple and concise and that made it stand out more for me.
Accessories are her strong point, including Keith Haring-inspired yellow bags.
As far as silhouettes go, Sara Aspinall went with loose and flowy, which I think would be perfect for layering in the cooler months ahead. She also showed statement legwear, which could easily be a wardrobe staple for those fashionphiles who want easy pieces when the temperature starts dropping to zero.
To those of you who want to edge up your wardrobe come autumn, do watch out for Company of Strangers.
