Exactly one year ago, we met the owner of Australian goat’s milk soap brand, Billie Goat Soap and heard her story of how her son’s eczema had been helped, leading to the development of her cottage industry success.
Now a year later, founder Leanne Faulkner has sold the company and many more goats are making the popular soap bars – now an entire range of skin, baby, and hair care.
I have been using it myself, on my children at bathtime -we don’t have eczema, but do stick to using natural and organic products on their skin -and I find it mild and perfect for the little ones. Apparently, though, up to 20% of New Zealand children DO have eczema and the goat soap is ideal for treating it, with thousands of testimonials from happy goat milk soap customers.
It’s reasonably priced too for a natural product range, with soap retailing for $11.95, moisturiser $21.95 and baby body wash $17.95.
Make sure you cut the soaps in half and use half at a time as they do melt away quickly; they don’t have artificial hardening agents and I find you have to keep them very dry on a soap rack away from moisture.
BDM Grange are representing the brand here in NZ for The Heat Group of Australia and announced Billie Goat Soap will be available at 52 Farmers stores from Friday 7th December as well as at selected pharmacies and health food stores nationwide.
